Instant Messenger
The IntraOut’s messenger is integrated with the e-mail account. Like in other well-known instant messengers, the user can specify his availability status shown to other users with whom he has contact. The IntraOut’s messenger was created to support business communication, it does not include ads, emoticons, and other unnecessary elements.
IntraOut does not impose its own solution, it uses XMPP/Jabber, which allows the users to communicate with other customers of this protocol, for example gTalk, Spark, Spik, Jabber, Tlen.pl and others. The multitude of servers providing XMPP services translates to an enormous amount of users, which runs into several millions. The protocol allows for communication between servers, using domain names such as: intraout.pl and preceding them user names.
The messenger automatically archives all conversations within the e-mail account, which simplifies moving the content of the conversations to e-mail correspondence or documents. Additionally it gives the possibility of enriching the conversations with voice transmission and video streaming, which is equivalent to free calls with other IntraOut users.
The entire voice traffic is handled by a built-in telephone exchange, which allows the user to choose to carry a conversation through a mobile phone, though in fact it’s conducted through the messenger.
Within a domain (between corporate accounts), instant messages are encrypted, which is rare in this type of applications, yet it ensures a very high level of security compared to conversations conducted through the public networks. IntraOut allows safe communicate with colleagues anywhere in the world.
