IntraOut Switchboard / VoIP

The IntraOut platform is equipped with a PBX Switchboard (for the Silver and Gold accounts). Speech transmission on the platform is realized using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology. Within the IntraOut platform all the calls conducted using this technology are encrypted.

A switchboard platform allows each email address to have an assigned telephone number. The PBX can later on be configured so that if necessary it redirects calls to any chosen number (e.g. assistants, co workers, receptionists) or the voicemail. It also provides the possibility of managing conference calls with zero or very limited telecommunication costs. The system is also equipped with the IVR feature, among which it gives each user the possibility of recording voice announcements for his own phone number.

The telephone conversations with other IntraOut users are free of charge. Outgoing calls are settled accordingly to VoIP providers rates. Worth mentioning is the visibly lower cost of calls made abroad.

Headphones used during instant messaging can be replaced with VoIP telephone devices, which are very similar to traditional phones.

PBX Switchboard

IntraOut offers a Private Branch Exchange service, a service dedicated especially to a particular business or office, which simultaneously allows the company internal discussions between the workers, limiting the number of traditional phone lines necessary, and supports normal telephone traffic (incoming calls from outside of the company). PBX also allows VoIP integration with other phone networks.

Communication - Dialer

The dialer is an inbuilt application feature, which allows the user to make phone calls (dial a number) without owning an actual physical VoIP telephone device, only headphones connected to the computer. Primarily it allows free of charge communication between the IntraOut users, however the dialer provides several additional possibilities, including: voice mail, voice recording, speed dial, call history.

Teleconferences

The switchboard enables holding conferences with multiple participants.

Teleconferences are free of charge when the participants are IntraOut platform users, within the same domain. Callers who reach the access number are charged similarly to costs for local calls. Outgoing calls to external numbers for IntraOut users are calculated according to VoIP providers rates. In case of international teleconferences, each country can have its own access number, in such a case the cost of calls are calculated locally for each user.

Voice Mail

IntraOut provides an answering machine service. Each recorded message is automatically forwarded to the users e-mail account as an .mp3 attachment. The file can be played at any moment in any location over the internet, which in case of abroad travel is a clear saving on roaming costs of calls.

Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

Incoming calls can be initially handled by the automatic IVR system. During the session with the IVR system the callers hears voice instructions, and using the phone’s dial pad he selects who he wishes to speak to (extension number).
