Security
The IntraOut platform implements the security policy on two fundamental levels:
- transmission encryption, which includes both data transmission, as well as voice communication between the users;
- work continuity insurance, described with the SLA factor of 99.999 percent.
Key aspects of the IntraOut platform security firstly include the fact that any connection, conversations, chats, information flow can be encrypted. For this purpose the platform uses the following technologies:
in SASL: CRAM-MD5 and DIGEST-MD5,
in GSSAPI: Kerberos v5,
in SASL-EXTERNAL (external authentication): TLS / SSL.
Experience shows that the use of such a combination of technologies fully protects the communication channels making them resistant to any intrusion attempts and any other external threats.
Secondly, any connections made with the IntraOut platform, for example among the company’s employees, are not broadcast by any foreign, external servers, or other external applications. Thus the potential risks associated with the breach of data processed by the users of the platform, is reduced to its minimum.
It should be noted that the IntraOut server was designed for high availability architectures (HA), which makes it a reliable tool in terms of continuity of access. It’s measured by the coefficient equal to 99.999 percent. In other words the safety parameters determine that the IntraOut system may be unavailable for no more than five minutes and fifteen seconds during one full year.
